According to The Carmichael Patch, the Fair Oaks Boulevard Corridor Plan is in the process of completion, which means Carmichael residents will have to wait a while to see the full results. The construction is meant to attract businesses and make the area more pedestrian-friendly. The project will begin next spring, but the full plan won't be executed for 20 to 30 years.
Phase one of the project, which includes a traffic signal, sidewalk, and landscaping upgrades at the intersection of Fair Oaks Boulevard and Marconi Avenue, will start next spring. It is expected to take two years to finish.
